It was great to see so many KS2 children taking on the challenge to come dressed up as a character from a yet-to-be-written book! Leading on from literacy lessons last week exploring possible new characters, lots of children decided to come up with their own character and get dressed up as them!

We had lots of interesting characters that we can imagine appearing in a future chapter book! (Some children are currently in the process of writing the book!) Some of the creative characters included: a queen from a faraway snow kingdom, a black witch who turns people she meets into coal, a runaway girl seeking her fortune in a new place, a mischievous bandit, a girl who loves writing about everything she sees and a giraffe who is trying to fit into the human world by dressing up as a human and eating salads!!
