Last week Year 1 were inspired by Henri Rousseau's jungle paintings to create a collaborative artwork of their own. We learned how artists can convey different emotions through their use of colour and exaggeration of their subject matter. Like Rousseau we learned how to mix different shades and tints of green to create a printed background for our artworks. We then collaged an array of different jungle animals to inhabit our leafy backgrounds. It was roarsome!
