The children in Reception had a wonderful afternoon at Hackney library yesterday, enjoying storytelling with the librarian and then time exploring the children's section of the library.

Children stopped for a story with the teachers, parents and carers who attended and were able to see some of their favourite authors on display, as well as the 'Traditional Tales' they enjoyed last term during storytelling.

It was warming to hear children talk about familiar stories they've enjoyed time and time again, and see their excitement as they located these books on the shelves. Many children also sought out adult help to find non-fiction books, asking to read information about bugs and mountain ranges!

A great time had by all!
