A box and some books, kindly donated to us by the Post Office staff, have resulted in some fantastic role play in Reception.

During our Storytelling sessions we have been learning about the people who live in our community and make our community better. The Post Office workers are often part of our discussion, especially after the winter holidays, as many children sent and received letters through the postal service. 

Taking turns in being a customer or part of the staff, the children received the post, sold stamps and sent letters together.

This half term we are also planning to go on a trip to our local Post Office and have been busy writing postcards to send home.
