Mini Madrid23 January 2025 (by raustin) |
Y4 were immersed in language, cuisine and culture with a trip to ‘Mini-Madrid’, hosted by UBS at their offices in Liverpool Street. The experience was a wonderful opportunity for children to apply and develop their Spanish learning. The day began with the children presenting their passports at passport control before exchanging some money. This was followed by a trip to the café in which the children could order and try tasty tortilla and a shopping trip where the children could use their euros to buy a range of items. The day finished with the children writing postcards about their day (in Spanish of course) and spending their last few euros on ice cream! Y4 felt more confident in showcasing their conversational skills and enjoyed meeting all the UBS volunteers too.
