In Year Three we have been learning about movement and forces.  We explored magnetic and non-magnetic materials by testing them with a magnet. We discovered that when two magnets pull towards each other, they attract and when two magnets push away from each other, they repel. We explored the strength of bar magnets, horse shoe magnets and ring magnets (creating our own method for recording results) and discovered that all magnets have a north pole and south pole.

We put all of our knowledge of magnets to the test when we designed and created a board game that used magnets. We presented our board games to one another, showcasing our knowledge of forces and magnets, explaining how magnets could attract and repel in the game.
