This week Nursery continued to work on strengthening their fine motor skills. They manipulated the playdough to form shapes to resemble their face and various facial features in keeping with the 'All about emotions' theme they've been learning about this term. 

The children demonstrated how to flatten, roll, knead, pinch and cut the dough, while discussing amongst themselves and with an adult about the different facial features they made and how it shows the emotion they have chosen.

To extend some of the children's learning, they had the option to also mold different objects that make them feel different emotions, and talk why they make them feel that way. E.g. A birthday cake, because it makes them feel happy and special.
