Climate change Assembly with Energy Sparks!6 December 2024 (by Natalie (nski)) |
The children in KS2 had the fantastic opportunity to take part in an assembly on climate change, delivered by James from Energy Sparks, a charity that helps schools become more energy efficient and fight climate change.
The children listened to a great story about polar explores and travels to Antarctica, and the challenges explorers face when going on an expedition to Antarctica. James was part of a travel expedition to Antarctica and shared his experience with the school, inspiriting the children to dream big.
Following the assembly, the Eco team took part in an educational workshop, discussing activities they might do to help the school become more energy efficient, and took a tour with a thermal camera, discovering energy users and looking for heat loss.
Please check the second photo on the website; it shows some of the Eco team members through the thermal camera!
