We have all had a busy first few days of settling into our new classes, finding out more about what we will be learning this year, getting to grips with our new timetables and welcoming new members of staff and children to our school. Lots of Y2-Y6 classes have also been busy starting on their first Class Reader text. These are a range of fiction, non-fiction and poetry books that the teachers will read and share with the children throughout the year. It is a lovely time of the day, when the children can enjoy being read to. Year 5 were particularly excited to find out what their first book was because their class has been named after the author!
