Last week Reception children planted some cress. They watched the seedlings sprout and grow over the week, marking each day on the board and observing and commenting on the changes. Ten days later the cress was ready to harvest. The children made some yummy cucumber and cress sandwiches and declared them the best sandwiches ever! And of course, no afternoon tea is complete without the actual tea, so everyone had a cup of mint tea too.
