This term, we have been developing our knowledge on movement so that we can get better at movement – We did this by doing dance in PE! We had opportunities to explore the space in the hall through simple movements. Our dance focus this week was on a rainforest. We used our previously taught knowledge from our Geography topic on mild and severe weather in certain climates, particularly the climate in rainforests, to give us some ideas on dance movements to represent heavy rain! For our dance, we had to develop our rhythm in unison and present different facial expressions to match each feature of a rainforest. We ended our dance routine by performing a cannon for our finale!
