It has been a fantastic day today! We have all thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the joy that reading brings. It was wonderful to see how creative you had been in creating costumes of existing characters or costumes for characters that you would like to see feature in a future book!

There have been a range of activities going on in the school so please do ask at home what your child has been up to today! We have had 'book bistros' in Y4 where the children selected books off a menu that they would like to sample, Y5 have been reading stories to EYFS, Y6 took part in the Big Footy and Booky quiz and Y1, Y2 and Y3 have enjoyed a dance workshop where they brought stories to life! We all enjoyed a D.E.A.R, which is a Drop Everything And Read announcement....it is always fun to stop what you are doing and sit back and have some time out to enjoy a good book! We have also enjoyed hearing our teachers read to us their favourite stories and having a class book club.

So all in all, it has been a super day!

Thank you as always for promoting the love of reading at home. We love reading at London Fields Primary School and will continue to ensure all our children love reading too.
