This term, our PE topic was ‘Net and Wall’. Throughout the topic we developed a variety of different skills. We started by learning how to roll and balance the ball using our rackets. We then developed our skills even further by learning how to work on our control when handling a racket and a ball. We took part in various activities, some of which involved using these skills against opponents, where we had to use our acquired intercepting strategies. We ended our topic by playing a game which involved setting up a baseline that represented a net – Using our rackets, we had to make sure that we bounced the ball in a controlled way with the aim of getting the ball to bounce over the baseline, without passing the backline. We really enjoyed this topic!
