Last week, Year 2 and Year 5 were visited by a member of the London Fire Brigade team to learn all about fire safety in and outside of the home and common fire hazards. The children learned about having a fire escape plan, how smoke alarms work and that they should be tested monthly at home and what to do in an emergency.

If you would like a 'Home Fire Safety visit' you can arrange one completely free of charge by booking one on their website. This service should be booked by parents/carers to their home and will be carried out either by Firefighters from the closest local fire station or by Community Safety Officers from London Fire Brigade. They will provide fire safety advice to the adults and children in the home and fit smoke alarms where needed. This is not means-tested and is open to everyone.
