The children in Reception had a fantastic first session at Forest School. They explored the area, looking for worms and slugs and learning to use the binoculars. They practiced their small motor skills while decorating their sticks with yarn and their gross motor skills and balance on our very popular swing. The children built dens and used chalk to draw on trees and pens to write on wooden disks. New friendships blossomed and mud cakes were made. 

They finished the session with a well-deserved cup of hot chocolate and biscuits and a promise to our Forest School site that we would be back next week.
