Next week (25th-29th Sep 2023), it's Cycle to School Week!
As the title suggests, the aim of the week is to get as many students as possible to cycle to school. The purpose behind this is to encourage children to realise how important it is to travel to school in an eco-friendly manner, which ties in nicely with the work we do as a school on sustainability.
As the title suggests, the aim of the week is to get as many students as possible to cycle to school. Children should also consider how this method of transport can help the school community save money. Cycling to school will not only help the environment, but will also help our bodies stay physically healthy. Most importantly, throughout their childhood, school is one of the places our children travel to the most, and what better way to do so than by having lots of fun on the journey to school whilst cycling on bikes!
Please reassure those children that do not have bikes, by telling them that walking to school is just as beneficial in regards to; the school community saving money; helping the environment; and keeping our bodies healthy!
