Chopping, cutting, slicing and dicing in Year 329 March 2022 (by raustin) |
Year 3 put their practical knowledge of food preparation to the test.
This week, children in Year 3 have been given the task to design and safely make a portable lunch-time snack that promotes eating a balanced diet. To prepare them for the design process, the children have been mastering their practical skills by grating and peeling carrots, cutting tomatoes and radishes, slicing cucumber and snipping spring onions and herbs. We were so impressed with the flunecy that the children developed in food preparation techniques and we cannot wait to see the healthy snacks that they come up with!
