As part of their History unit of work and so they get better at understanding chronology, Year One have been learning about why the Empire Windrush was significant.
Year One learnt that the Empire Windrush was a ship that brought migrants from the Caribbean to Britain in 1948. Through painting and making their own Lego Empire Windrush and many other activities this week, children have learnt what happened when migrants came to the UK in 1948.
