Year 4 have been exploring Art Deco design.
After exploring Art Deco design in architecture, pottery, jewellery and paintings, Year 4 thought carefully about the Art Deco style of Art and how it has been influenced by cubism and abstract art. Taking inspiration from this, the children created their own Art Deco design. These included geometric shapes and straight lines. Here you can see the children mastering their practical skills, turning their designs into clay tiles. Our next job is to get painting!
