In line with this half term's theme around monsters and dinosaurs, the children used clay to make their own creatures. This sparked lively discussions about what makes monsters scary and ugly enough and how to represent that with a lump of mud. The children worked their little muscles very hard and came up with impressive ideas and solutions - pebbles for teeth and prickly backs, big noses like the monster in Not Now Bernard, sticks for horns and antennae, etc. We have such a lovely bunch of Wild Things here in Nursery!
