Year 2 had a fantastic class trip litter picking in our local community. The students walked down Broadway Market and through London Fields park looking for any rubbish to be collected using their litter pickers. They also kept an eye out for people making choices that showed they were reducing their plastic use. The students observed people using biodegradable bags, paper straws and reusable coffee cups. The students also wrote thank you letters to the Hackney park keepers, which their teachers sent to the council. We had a lovely response from them and they were grateful for the kind words they received.
