This week at Forest School, there were so many tame squirrels about- they appeared to be as interested in the children as they were in the squirrels! A lot of fun was also had with the leaves, throwing them up in the air creating fireworks, making wands and umbrellas with sticks and yarn, and rolling around in them! Some wonderful collaborative work was observed where a group of children worked on building a fence to climb on to try and reach the bird house to check for hatchlings! They carried the logs safely in pairs, stacked them and discussed how to approach their task. We are so very lucky for the children to be able to enjoy their Forest School on Fridays!
