This week's Book of the Week was The Three Billy Goats Gruff, which a group of children spent all afternoon acting out with instruments. Together, we built a safe bridge, testing its safety before the troll was allowed to hide underneath with his drum. Then the billy goats, equipped with bells and tambourines, made their way across the bridge, trip-trap, trip-trap, and the troll would jump out and beat his drum. The children all took turns at being the troll and the goats and invited more and more of their friends to join in.
