Year Four have become art critics and have been examining different portraits and have produced their very own!
Year Four have been exploring portraits created by a range of different artists ranging all the way from the Tudor period. After exploring the work of Matt Small, Year Four have been producing their own self-portraits inspired by his striking artwork. They applied what they had learnt about mixing paint to create contrasting colour and skin tone with their understanding of proportion. Here they are using paint and chalk pastels to develop texture and to create a bold, eye-catching effect.
