Launchpad for Language

 London Fields follows an exciting speech and language programme for our Reception cohort called Launchpad for Language. 

Launchpad for Language is a programme designed by Speech and Language Therapists for our Reception pupils to support their speech, language and communication skills. We are supported by our allocated Speech and Language Therapist.

The programme works with children, staff and parents to support all children to reach their communication potential, with a particular emphasis on those with greater language needs.

The ability to use and understand language underpins all social interactions and many, many learning opportunities. It is also a significant factor in a child’s emotional well being. By promoting the communication skills of young children we can make a huge difference to their ability to make and maintain relationships, achieve in school and later in the work place and most importantly to their happiness.
